Beer Pressure is extremely easy to play! Grab some friends, your favorite drink, and sit around a circle and take turns drawing cards from the deck. Simply read what the card says and follow the instructions. Each card is an individual task unless stated otherwise.
However, there are some cards you may not be familiar with. Below are explanations of cards players may be confused about:
The player who draws the card says a word and all the players after them have to say a word that rhymes. First player to not come up with a word that rhymes has to drink.
The player who draws the card chooses a category. Then everyone goes around and says something that fits in the category. Whoever cannot think of anything in the category has to drink. Categories can include anything, such as: animals, colors, beer brands, movie titles, etc.
Play the song Thunderstruck by AC/DC. The first time you hear "thunder", the player that drew the card starts drinking . The next time you hear "thunder", the person drinking stops, and the person to their left begins. Repeat until the end of the song.
There are two "Safe Cards" in the deck. It is up to you if you want to tell other players you have this card or keep it a secret. When you want to skip a turn, you have to play the card before you draw a card. The card can only be used once.
There are multiple "Secret Cards" in the deck. You should keep these cards a secret and not tell other players. When you want to play them, simply read it to the other players. You can only play a secret card once.
For example, if someone laughs you can play the card and then they will have to drink. It is up to the player of when they want to play the card.
The floor is lava! Last one with their feet still on the floor has to drink. Nothing is off limits.
Social! Everyone take a drink.
When this card is drawn, everyone starts to drink. The player who drew the card can stop whenever they want, but the other players have to keep drinking. Once they decided to stop drinking, the player on their left can stop and so on. Go around the circle until you reach the last player.
The player who draws this card can create a new rule. Common rules are: no swearing, no laughing, only drink with your left hand, etc. If a player breaks the rule, they have to drink. The rule stands until another rule card is drawn and a new rule is created.
The player who draws this card is Question Master. This means whenever they ask a question and someone answers, the person who answers has to drink. For example, they could ask "Who's turn is it?", and if someone answers, they have to drink!
The player is Question Master till the next Question Master card is drawn. When the next Question Master card is drawn, that person is now the Question Master.
The person that drew the card reads it and counts down from 3. Everyone will then point at the player they want to drink. Player with the most votes has to drink!
